Oil analysis you can build a maintenance decision on.
We test lubricants and fuels for marine, industrial and government fleets across New Orleans, the River Region and the Gulf — and tell you plainly what the numbers mean. Routine sampling catches wear and contamination while repairs are still cheap.

What we do
Five services cover most of what comes through the door. If you need something outside them, ask — the full ASTM catalog runs to more than seventy methods.
Lube Oil Analysis
Wear metals, contamination and oil condition — the routine test that catches a failing bearing before it becomes a rebuild.
Preventive Maintenance Programs
Scheduled sampling with trended results, so a rising wear rate is visible months before anything breaks.
Diesel & Residual Fuel Testing
Full fuel-oil workups: distillation, cetane index, sulfur, cat fines, compatibility and BTU content.
New Lubricant Quality Assurance
Verify a delivery is the product you ordered, at the grade you paid for, before it goes into a machine.
20-Metal Spectrographic Scan
Emission spectrophotometry on a Baird Rotrode to Mil-Spec, reporting twenty elements in parts per million.

View all services →Catch it before it breaks
Several tugs working the Mississippi have had their oil tested every month for more than twenty years. Analysing on a routine basis makes changes in wear or contamination visible as a trend, which lets operators schedule a repair instead of reacting to a failure.
Savings on the repairs usually exceed the cost of the analysis program — which is the entire argument for running one.

Assurance of quality
Testing follows standard ASTM methods wherever one exists, on instruments maintained and calibrated against certified standards from trusted suppliers. The lab also takes part in cross-check programs for both fuels and lubes.
